The raising cost of energy and a dieing plant affect us all every day. With a wind turbine we could cut, If not completely stop paying a electric bill and take step toward saving our plant. Simply by Installing a wind turbine. This renewable energy is one of the most suitable and practical ways to accomplish this.
With the wind turbine, we produce energy out of moving air or more commonly called the wind, hence the wind turbine. This renewable energy is free and clean, thus it is referred to as a clean energy. In certain regions this natural resource is almost endless.
For the use of the wind turbine to be feasible, It is significant to note that the average wind speed needs to be of a certain level. To avoid ground turbulence, the tower shouldn’t have to reach very high. Depending on where you live a good starting height is about 6-8m and a average wind speed of 8-10mph.
Wind energy production is based energy conversion. Essentially, the wind turns the wind turbine which is connected a alternator to produce electricity. It then has to run trough what is a converter before being used in your home.
Traditionally wind turbines were just water pumps. The modern wind turbines are a complete systems that has high-wind survival, electrical overload protection and emergency shutdown features. They can come equipped with options for storage and interconnection with the local utility provider.

Small Solar power Panels

The flat-plate photovoltaic (or PV for short) panel designs are most commonly used for small solar power systems. They can track the sun’s movement or be fixed in one position. This PV array is made of PV modules in a set position on a flat-plate. There are a number of advantages to this type of fixed array: They are lightweight, No extra equipment and have no moving parts.
These panels are appropriate for a lot of locations, like most suburban homes. Their direction to the sun is frequently at an angle that is less than optimal because they are fixed in one place. When compared to the tracking array, the fixed type are less efficient. This however, must be weighed against the higher initial cost of the tracking system.

This last consideration is often given as energy efficiency, equal to "electrical output from the panel" ÷ "solar energy input from the sun" × 100%. Electricity is normally measured in units of watts (W), and energy is normally measured in units of watt-hours (Wh), or the electricity supplied in watts during an hour.

Solar Power Landscaping

With such grave threats as global warming and climate change ,the need for renewable power
sources has sparked renewed attention in using solar power for a diversity of applications.
Before using solar power for any application, we should look at the pros and cons of this
renewable power source.
PROS
Cost Efficiency Over The Long Term
When using solar energy for less important projects like landscape or garden lighting, it
is often known as a set it up and forget about it type of project. Sunlight is a free
renewable energy, over the long term the cost of your lighting amounts to the original
cost of the lights. The advantage over using solar energy instead of electricity to
illuminate your landscape and outdoor areas is a very cost efficient means and will
ultimately save you thousands of dollars over the long term..
Dependability
When using solar energy for applications like outdoor illumination, it is again a set it up
and forget about it project. They will last for years without need of your care.
Maintenance
Very little maintenance is needed for solar energy lights, as they will last for years
before you will need to replace them or have them repaired.
Installation
If you're just going to illuminate around your pathways or driveway, then solar powered
lights are the best choice, because all you’ll have to is push them in the ground easily
and you’re done. There are no holes or trenches to dig because there are no electrical
hookups.
CONS
Initial Cost
As with all projects there is the initial cost. When you compare the price of solar lights
to electric lights, solar lights can cost a bit more. If by chance you have a rather large
project you are planning, this could add up to be a quit bit more.
Dependability
As all ready stated the need for maintenance is cut down considerably by using solar
powered lighting, there is always two sides to the coin so to speak. The power source you
will be using is only obtainable for little more than half the day. Then what about rainy
or overcast day’s that will allow the lights to gather hardy any energy. There are solar
lights that come with a backup battery or that will use electricity as a backup source.
When using solar lights that have no backup power source, on days when the weather is bad
they will only light up for a few hours or simply seam dimmer. When choosing lighting for
your outdoor area it is important to consider the pro’s and con’s of both methods.

Solar Power

The massive amount of heat that the sun produces and transmits to the earths surface is staggering. The suns rays that reach the earths surface are not as intense because some of them are rerouted before they reach the earth’s surface. If the sun’s ray’s were not rerouted you wouldn’t be able to go out side in the summer time. Have you ever seen an egg fry on the sidewalk? This is what it would be like if you stepped outside. Over one hundred years ago a man wondered if the steam from the heat of the day could power his machinery. Thus began solar power. Solar power is being used all over the world today. It is being used in a variety of ways. Most people still rely on electricity to power there homes but in the future solar power may be all we have. Solar power is cost effective because the only relative cost you have is in the installation. To use solar power you will have to have what is called a solar collector so you can take the sun and concentrate it so it can stay hotter for a longer period of time. This is fairly easy when you consider resources we have today. When using solar power for electricity you cannot go wrong. They use solar power in the space shuttles because it produces the most efficient form of power with the least complications. Solar panels are pointed toward the sun to power the shuttle efficiently. Solar power has fewer problems than other energies. Even when the weather is bad you can produce enough power to last until the weather clears. Solar power is the future we need to use it NOW! At this point there not many people using solar energy, we should be making people more aware And stop using energies that pollute the earths atmosphere.

What are the Renewable Energies

We already know that electricity, coal and gas are not renewable energies.So what are the renewable energies? Well we've all heard of solar and wind energy, but how about Hydrogen, Ocean,hydropower,Biomass,and Geothermal? These are some of the renewable energies that we will look at and see if they can be applied to the homes of today. We will also look at the cost of these applications.
Now I know alot of people are going to look at some of these and say, noway can they be applied to the homes of today. Well I say can they? That is what this blog is about.
